Development of a method to measure knee joint sounds

A noninvasive experiment is designed to detect and record knee sounds and isolate them from background noise. The experimental system includes the use of microphones, a differential amplifier, and a signal analyzer. Sound emitted from a normal contralateral knee is used as a control signal. Results show that the frequency spectrum from an injured knee is significantly different from the normal contralateral knee.<
