Electronic 3-D imaging

It is possible to record, transmit and playback 3-D images electronically. The approach taken is to record the images digitally, process them using a small computer and output the final image to a printer. When overlaid with a screen, a 3-D image may be observed. The entire process is possible using fairly non-specialised equipment: video cameras, personal computer and office laser printers. It has the great advantage of not requiring the viewer to wear any specialised glasses and allows motion parallax.<
