Evaluation of new complexes of biocompatible magnetic fluid and third generation of photosensitizer useful to cancer treatment

In this study, we performed in vitro evaluation of the dark and light toxicity of a third-generation photosensitizer (PS), a biocompatible magnetic fluid (BMFs), and the BMF/PS complex using the J774-A cell line. The BMFs used is based on maghemite nanoparticles surface-coated with phosphate whereas for photosensitizer the Chlorine e/sub 6/ (Chl/sub e6/) was employed.
