The frequency characteristics of a lighting element using carbon nanotube-based composite cold-cathode

The frequency characteristics of a lighting element using carbon nanotube-based composite as cold-cathode material were studied. A delay response characteristic and a cutoff frequency have been observed. Furthermore, the dependence of cutoff frequency on the structural parameters of the electron gun of the lighting element has been investigated. The results show that the cutoff frequency increases with the vacuum gap between gate electrode and cathode, and decreases with the area and the thickness of cold cathode film.
