Evaluation of computerised hypnomidate infusion system for anesthesia of pacemaker implantation

Software was developed to pilot an injection pump, easily adaptable to each type of drug and equipment. A computerized infusion system was utilized during pacemaker implantation. The study was performed in five patients. Hypnomidate was infused via a Baxter Flo-Gard 8000 volumetric pump driven by a Toshiba-3200 PC. Theoretical concentration is compared with blood sample dosages. Target concentration in blood samples during injection was 0.401 ug/ml+or-0.165 (0.588-0.217). The mean correlation was 0.86+or-0.12.<
