Hybrid microelectronic realization of selective linear-phase filters

In order to achieve the optimum solution to the simultaneous amplitude and phase approximation problem, the most general types of filter transfer function must be used. These are non-minimum phase functions, which are realizable by non-reciprocal networks. The implementation of a representative class of analog functions with arbitrary zero locations and possessing simultaneous maximally flat amplitude and delay responses is considered using hybrid microelectronic circuits. The practical issues involved are highlighted and typical realizations are given.<
