A first step towards a wave-based 'stochastic' calibration for multi-port vectorial network analyzers

A classical calibration methods use S-parameters as raw data and do not take measurement uncertainty into account. As such, these methods are deterministic in nature. Recent 'stochastic' calibration approaches rely on the statistics of S-parameters, that are very difficult to obtain under practical constraints.
