Implications of signal chirp on the performance of an all-optical 2R regenerator based on self-phase modulation in a highly nonlinear fiber

For a 2R regenerator, based on self-phase modulation and spectral slicing, the sensitivity of the performance to the input signal chirp is investigated by using 10 Gb/s RZ signals with negative, near-zero and positive chirp.
