Reconfigurable fiber-optic delay line filter based on polarization mode coupling

A fiber-optic delay line filter is constructed by using a single high birefringence fiber and stress-induced polarization mode coupling. Reconfigurable responses are achieved by changing input/output polarization azimuth to the fiber, and the applied stress.
