Method for remote sensing of the atmosphere by using laser generated flashes

In this paper, a new atmospheric monitoring method by using pulsed flashes is described. The formula for calculating the volumes of local regions in the case when scattering angles are not equal to 90/spl deg/ and for the extinction coefficient K between flashes is introduced.
