Design of a microstrip conform GPS patch antenna

A design and investigation of a small conform microstrip GPS patch antenna is carried out. A cavity and TLM models are used to find the initial dimensions of the antenna. A NURBS model together with surface equivalence principle is applied for electromagnetic simulation of the antenna model with the FEKO/sup /spl reg// (C.A. Balanis 1997) moment method software. The antenna is tested experimentally and results are presented and discussed.
