Nd:YVO/sub 4/ film fabricated by pulse laser deposition and its waveguide properties

Nd:YVO/sub 4/ films were grown by pulsed laser deposition on sapphire and SiO/sub 2/ substrates. Their structure, wave-guide performance and absorption properties has been studied. We get the highly crystalline films, which has well optical properties.
