Determination of anisotropic dipole moments in single self-assembled quantum dots using Rabi-oscillation

By investigating the polarization-dependent Rabi oscillations, we determine the respective dipole moments of the two excitonic states |E/sub 1,x/> and |E/sub 1,y/> of a single self-assembled quantum dot that are split due to the shape anisotropy.
