A remark on the stability of interconnected nonlinear systems

We use a notion of generalized L/sub 2/-gain for nonlinear systems, where the gain is considered as a function of the state instead of a (global) constant, for characterizing stability properties of interconnected systems. The obtained results generalize the well-known small-gain theorem.
