Broadband characterization of the nonlinear refractive index of sapphire

This paper reports on the broadband characterization of the nonlinear refractive index of sapphire which has proved to be one of the best laser crystal hosts (Ti:sapphire) for ultrashort pulse generation as well as a common reference material in various nonlinear optics experiment.
