Abstract:
The current Global Positioning System (GPS) is a successful civilian and military satellite navigation system, and one that is increasingly depended on by aviation. Use of directional crosslinks on the next-generation GPS - or GPS III - can enhance the reliability and integrity of the satellite constellation. This paper discusses this crosslink network system and its uses for the next-generation civil/military GPS.
