A message from the outgoing president

During the past two years the author President has had the privilege of serving as the President of the IEEE Acoustics, Speech. and Signal Processing Society. As his term of office draws to a close it is appropriate to summarize the activities and accomplishments of ASSP during this time and to offer thanks to those who have made things happen.
