A new design method of optimal finite wordlength linear phase FIR digital filters

The branch and bound technique is applied to the design of optimal finite wordlength linear phase FIR digital filters in a new efficient way. Compared to other reported methods there is a great saving of storage area used by the designing program; reductions in computation time are also to be expected.
