Design of a multi-technology FPGA with a programmable threshold photoreceiver

We present an innovative architecture for a multi-technology FPGA. This new FPGA architecture will enable the design of reconfigurable systems outside of the traditional electronic domain. A threshold programmable photoreceiver is presented as an illustrative example.
