The ryotron - A new cryogenic device

THIS PAPER will describe a cryogenic electronic variable inductor called the ryotron. This device is potentially useful for both digital and analog circuits and may be represented as a two-port network (Figure 1) in which the ports are dc isolated. Figure 2 and 3 depict one of the many geometries possible.
