Proposed new cryotron geometry and circuits

THE ORIGINAL CRYOTRON geometry of a helical coil wound about a straight wire has low speed as a major disadvantage. Speed can be improved by increasing the resistance of the controlled element by such means as using thin films instead of solid conductors. Also, speed can be improved by decreasing the inductance of the controlling element.
