Broadband transistor video amplifiers

THIS PAPER DESCRIBES the design of broadband-video amplifiers using diffused base types of germanium transistors. The general technique used is that of applying local feedback around each stage of a common emitter cascade. This method of broadbanding offers the advantages of design simplicity, ease of adjustment of the gain-frequency characteristic and operation to dc. Although the paper stresses the design of amplifiers using diffused base types of transistors, the design method is also applicable to alloy and grown junction transistors.
