Review of Underwater Welding Technology

This paper reviews the present state-of-the-art of welding technology which is rapidly expanding. After a brief introduction, a discussion is made on how underwater welding technologies and their applications have developed. The paper then discusses the status of underwater welding techniques currently in use. A short discussion is also given on technical problems associated with underwater welding.
