A polypass adaptive training and equalisation method

A novel polypass method of training adaptive equalisers or channel estimators is presented. The polypass method requires short training sequences when long equalisers are used. The method is computationally efficient and will be suitable for wideband digital radio transmission where long equalisers are required to combat multipath.<
