Real-Time Kelulut Honey Quality Monitoring System Using Low-cost Sensor and IoT: The preliminary study

This study evaluates the effectiveness of low-cost pH, turbidity, and TDS sensors, integrated with IoT, for monitoring the quality of kelulut honey. By analyzing samples adulterated with water and high fructose corn syrup (HFC), distinct patterns were observed. The experimental results show that TDS and turbidity sensors are sensitive to adulteration with water and high fructose corn syrup, while pH remains relatively stable. These trends suggest that a multi-sensor approach can effectively distinguish types of adulteration. The findings support the development of affordable, real-time honey quality monitoring systems for local beekeepers and regulators.
