Smart Transformer Surveillance using IoT Technology

The hardware setup featuring temperature and voltage and current sensors demonstrated a transformer operation as the project evaluated a new approach for online transformer defect detection under load conditions. The proposed online method bases its foundation on analyzing the simultaneous voltages at the input and output terminals. A transformer ON-OFF access control system utilizes RFID and Arduino technology to monitor authorized personnel through wireless radio signal operation. The Arduino system holds data while controlling ON-OFF authentication features and enables the EM 18 RFID module to read RFID tags and devices. The simulator implements a complete finite-element architecture which models transformers under various winding mechanical alteration conditions in order to replicate real transformer operations accurately.
