Smart Interactive Scribe Set for Children With Specific Learning Disability

Children with Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) often struggle with handwriting due to poor grip control and inconsistent writing pressure, affecting their academic performance and confidence. This paper presents a Smart Interactive Scribe Set (SISS), an IoT-enabled assistive system designed to address these challenges. The device integrates a smart pen, digital writing pad, ESP8266 NodeMCU, force sensors, and OLED/LCD displays to monitor handwriting grip and pressure in real time. Visual feedback through bar indicators ($\mathbf{2 5 \% - 8 5 \%}$) and corrective messages guides children toward proper posture and pressure control, while a web interface enables continuous tracking of writing patterns for teachers and therapists. Initial testing demonstrates that SISS improves handwriting consistency, optimizes grip pressure, and increases learner engagement. Designed with affordability, inclusivity, and sustainability in mind, SISS shows strong potential as a practical tool for special education and therapeutic applications.
