An AIoT-Enabled Smart Home Automation Framework: Intelligent Control, Security, and Predictive Monitoring

The convergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) has cemented the way for intelligent, secure, and efficient smart home environments. This paper proposes a unified AIoTenabled smart home automation framework that integrates real-time control, high-level security, and predictive monitoring to enhance modern living. Unlike conventional systems, the proposed framework influences machine learning processes to analyze user behavior and automate appliance management while ensuring robust anomaly detection for security against potential threats. The architecture also includes an AI-powered floor monitoring system to proactively identify hazards, thereby improving home safety and enabling predictive maintenance. Experimental results demonstrate the system’s capability to reduce energy consumption by $35 \%$, detect anomalies with an accuracy of $94 \%$, and significantly enhance both user comfort and safety. This research highlights the potential of AIoT to build resilient, self-learning smart home ecosystems, addressing current limitations in security, adaptability, and efficiency.
