Design and Implementation of an Efficient Voltage Sense Amplifier for Non-Volatile Memory

This article describes a robust voltage-mode sense amplifier optimized to be compatible with NAND flash memory. Non volatile memories (NVMs) are critical for modern data storage systems, requiring high-speed and reliable read operations. The sense amplifier (SA) plays a pivotal role in determining read accuracy, speed, and power efficiency.The amplifier is power efficient through Y-MUX and bitline clamping.It was verified in SCL 180 nm CMOS technology with transient analysis and PVT simulations. It is observed to achieve fast sensing and improved robustness with confirming improved speed, stability,and energy efficiency.
