Dual-Polarized Programmable Metasurface for Dualchannel Real-Time Beam Scanning

In recent years, programmable metasurfaces have attracted significant attention from researchers. However, most current designs operate under single polarization, which limits their development. This paper presents an anisotropic dual-polarized 2-bit programmable metasurface that demonstrates high isolation between the two polarization responses when excited by $x$-polarized and $y$-polarized incident waves. As a practical demonstration, we designed a reflective beam-scanning platform composed of $21 \times 20$ metasurface elements. Through dynamic control of phase encoding for each element, the platform achieves dual-channel real-time beam-scanning performance.
