A Dual-Polarized High Gain Folded Transmit Array with Dual Array Centers

This paper presents a dual-polarized folded transmitarray (FTA) antenna operating in the $24-28 \text{GHz}$ frequency band. The proposed design integrates two feed sources with orthogonal polarizations. A metasurface is placed above the feed antenna, comprising two sub-arrays which are independently optimized to work with their corresponding feed, enabling precise phase manipulation of the transmitted wave and effective beam focusing. The sub-arrays are spatially interleaved with different center positions to accommodate the distinct phase centers of the two feeds. Simulations show a gain of up to 23.7 dBi for both polarizations, with beam direction deviation within 1.5°. These results highlight the antenna's potential for applications in 5G communications and millimeter-wave radar systems, where multi-polarization capability enhances system reliability and performance.
