A Beam Scanning Secure Communication Method with Single-Sideband Time-Modulated Array

This paper proposes a beam scanning and directional modulation wideband secure communication method based on single-sideband time-modulated arrays. By using the differential evolution algorithm to optimize the timing parameters of the single-sideband modulation circuit, both the directional modulation and beam scanning of the positive first harmonic can be achieved, and the nulls of other harmonics can be accurately pointed to the direction of the positive first harmonic, thereby effectively suppressing the spectral aliasing phenomenon in the main beam direction and ultimately achieving broadband secure communication. Simulation results show that the proposed method has good communication performance in the target direction and can significantly increase the bit error rate in the non-target direction to more than 20%.
