Displaying Dispatching Systems on Android Devices with Assessment of Data Transfer Protocols

The article discusses a mobile application for the Android operating system that works in conjunction with a programmable logic controller to display a dispatching system. The application allows you to visualize data in real time, control various system parameters, and diagnose the operating status of equipment. Data transfer from the PLC is implemented using the OPC UA and MQTT protocols. Each protocol has a number of unique characteristics: ease of integration of a mobile application with industrial automation systems, ease of implementation, resistance to network errors, security, and data transfer speed. The paper provides a comparative analysis of the protocols, taking into account these characteristics. As a result of comparing OPC UA and MQTT, the optimal data transfer protocol was identified in the case of PLC operation with a mobile application in various use cases. In the modern world, increasing flexibility and efficiency is an integral part of production processes. Dispatching systems are a key element that allows achieving these goals. Such systems are aimed at providing real-time operational monitoring, managing various data and diagnosing the operating status of equipment. In the context of active digitalization, the integration of mobile devices with industrial equipment is becoming an increasingly relevant solution.
