Evaluation of Ways to Improve the Efficiency of the Heating System by Summarizing and Analyzing its Technical and Economic Performance

The article examines the technical and economic indicators of the heat supply system, which consists of district boiler houses, in the current situation in the Chuvash Republic. A modification of the calculation method is proposed to assess the ways to improve the efficiency of the heat supply system. The article provides the moments of heat load, graphs of changes in the coefficients of utilization of the installed capacity, the actual average radius of heat supply, and the actual maximum radius of heat supply for the district boiler houses in the city. Based on the results of the analysis, several areas have been identified for improving the efficiency of a group of boiler houses in a large city of the Republic: first, the integration of boiler houses to work with a high utilization rate of the installed thermal capacity; second, the implementation of a cogeneration mode to cover the electricity costs for the production needs of the boiler houses. Based on the results of the computational experiment, the final result of fuel savings from the proposed options for improving the efficiency of the heating system was estimated.
