Research of a Genetic Algorithm for Determining the Optimal Location of a Energy Source

In modern time energy efficiency are very important in the development of the electric power complex. Designers are tasked with determining the most optimal routes for electrical mains and locations of power sources. Optimization and computer-aided design methods are used more actively. New techniques are being developed to improve the efficiency of project decision-making. A large amount of research is focused on minimizing capital costs for construction. This approach does not allow fully consider of operational costs. In the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous district, most of the electricity consumption is accounted for by the oil industry. The main consumers of such companies are installations of electric centrifugal pumps. These installations are most often equipped with synchronous electric motors. Modern methods do not allow to fully take into account the nature of the load of such consumers. This may affect the amount of operational costs. In this regard, it is necessary to create modern design assistance methods that include accounting for operational costs. The aim of the work is to improve the methodic for determining the location of the power source by taking into account the characteristics of the load behavior. The methods of mathematical modeling, multi-criteria optimization, and artificial intelligence systems were used in the work. As a result of the research, the concept of an automatic power source location detection system with an improved loss detection technique has been formed. The simulation and comparison of the results performed by various methods are carried out.
