Study on Superhighway Fuel Consumption and Emissions Based on Trajectory Data

increasing the speed limit has become a problem that must be faced in our country, so it is important to argue the fuel consumption and emission on superhighways. The article collected the position and velocity information of the vehicle through vehicle experiments, analyzed the fuel consumption and emission by using SIDRA TRIP software. The results show that there is no significant difference in accelerate under different speed limit conditions, which can be maintained, but the acceleration distribution is relatively more discrete when the speed is higher, more fuel consumption and emission will be generated. Speed is positively correlated with fuel consumption and exhaust emissions, and there are differences in fuel consumption and emissions between drivers. The conclusions can support the development of superhighways, and provide a theoretical basis for superhighway operation safety and toll measurement.
