A Review on EV Charging Station Recommendation Systems

As electric vehicles (EVs) become more popular, the need for an efficient and accessible charging infrastructure is growing. This paper reviews existing research on EV charging station recommendation systems, focusing on methods that recommend the best locations for charging stations based on factors like distance, traffic patterns, and user demand. We explore different approaches, such as geospatial optimization, machine learning, and placement of Charging Stations, highlighting their strengths and challenges. Additionally, we discuss issues like balancing infrastructure costs, integrating real-time data, and addressing privacy concerns. The goal of this review is to provide an overview of the current state of the field and suggest areas for future research to improve the planning of EV charging networks.In order to meet the increasing demand for electric vehicle infrastructure, this research aims to review and analyze existing approaches to EV charging station recommendation systems, with a focus on identifying key strategies and methodologies used for optimizing station placement. The goal is to provide insights into the current state of the field, highlight gaps, and suggest areas for future improvement in the planning and development of EV charging infrastructure.
