Bounds and Stability of Spatial Statistics for Temporal Average Delays in Large-Scale Networks

This paper presents a detailed analysis of the tem poral and spatial characteristics of packet delays across wireless network links. We develop a sophisticated model to characterize the spatial distribution of temporal average delays and establish its upper and lower bounds. The concept of the ε-stability region is introduced, providing a novel way to link network stability with delay variability. Our analysis reveals new insights into the latency phenomena across network links, significantly enhancing both theoretical understanding and practical network design. These findings are crucial for developing strategies to optimize wireless networks for reduced latency, thereby advancing the state-of-the-art in network performance evaluation.
