De Simone Theatre in the City of Benevento acoustic measurements

The “De Simone” Theatre in the city of Benevento was originally located within a religious school and used for school events. Built at the beginning of the 1900s, the theatre featured wooden seats and a rectangular floor plan that was narrow and elongated, with a single central row and flat, parallel side walls. In the 1990s, the building was acquired by the Municipality of Benevento and renovated with the addition of a new stage and fabric-covered chairs. Today, the theatre hosts musical events and conferences. This paper presents a series of acoustic measurements carried out inside the theatre in accordance with the ISO 3382 standard.
