A Computational Framework for Land Use Modeling of the Spatial Distribution of Impurities in the Environment

This study advances the Land Use (LU) approach for modeling the spatial distribution of impurities in environmental components under conditions of limited observational data. We propose a Land Use Segmentation approach in which the contribution of emission sources is estimated for each element with a contribution function. The impurity concentrations are computed as the sum of contributions from all elements and sources of these impurities.
