Optimized Reversible Data Hiding Using Random Block Selection and Encryption Techniques

This research introduces a new method for efficient and highly secure reversible information concealing called Random Block Selection (RBS). Transparent and reversal are preserved while confidential data is embedded inside digital photographs using this method. The suggested approach uses a block-based strategy, which is different from standard techniques, and uses randomly selected picture blocks for both encoding and decoding information. High security levels result from modest pixel value adjustments which maintain the image's clarity in the horizontal encoding scheme. Experimental assessments demonstrate how the technique combats steganalysis attacks while maintaining correct message recovery operations. The efficiency assessments indicate substantial progress on multiple fronts including correlation factors and Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Mean Squared Error (MSE). The proposed RBS method maintains a high 98.9% accuracy rate compared to previous algorithms alongside improved time efficiency totalling 16 seconds per operation. Extensive testing spanned a wide range of landscape types from medical to natural compositions which demonstrated the achievements of the technique's application. Research findings indicate RBS offers safe picture encryption alongside full reversibility that makes it suitable for secure information operations.
