Meteorological and Video Monitoring System for Transmission Lines Based on Fiber Optic Power Supply

A gas and video monitoring system for overhead transmission lines based on fiber optic power supply has been proposed. This system has the characteristics of long transmission distance, low cost, strong resistance to electromagnetic interference, and low power consumption. It uses fiber optic power supply to solve the problem of difficulty in supplying power to overhead transmission lines. The system has been tested on a certain overhead transmission line and the verification results meet the expected requirements. It can be effectively used for status monitoring of overhead transmission lines.
