Vibration Suppression for Electric Bulldozer Gear Box Based on Improved Genetic Algorithm

To solve the vibration and noise issues caused by transmission errors in the gear reducer of electric bulldozer, a multi-objective collaborative optimization method for gear micro-modification based on an improved Genetic Algorithm is proposed. Firstly, an electromechanical coupling dynamics model of the gear meshing excitation-transmission shaft system-housing structure is established. Then, the first-order harmonic amplitude of the error, the kinetic energy of meshing impact, and the uniformity of contact stress is as the optimization objective, the optimal solution is solved by used improved Genetic Algorithm. The simulation results show that the amplitude of the first-order harmonic wave of gear transmission error is significantly reduced, and the average vibration response of the shell is reduced by 40 %. Therefore, the vibration suppression method is a feasible and effective for electric bulldozer.
