Emotion Recognition System using Visual Informatics

Facial Expressions are one of the most basic forms of non-verbal communication that people can communicate through. In a classroom, the lack of understanding and communication between the educator and student may be a deeper problem than you think. In this paper, a real-time Emotion Recognition System is applied to a real-world situation using Haar cascades Face Detection and VGG16 model to achieve the best of both efficiency and accuracy. The web application aims to be deployed and serve as the bridge of communication between the educator and student in a classroom to foster a better learning environment for students and also a better teaching environment for educators
