Mathematical Methods for Improving Broadband Multi-Probe Measurements of Complex Reflectivity

The paper is devoted to the development of a mathematical technique for preprocessing to ensure the effective application of parametric spectral analysis methods for processing measurement data of detected probe signals in a multiprobe complex reflection coefficient meter. The peculiarity of the study is the consideration of signal distortion based on the detector diode model with subsequent ADC. The case of broadband measurements is considered. The capabilities of some ANN models to reconstruct the input signal pointwise based on the output of the ADC and to estimate the phase and the magnitude of a complex reflection coefficient in a multiprobe setup are also considered.
