A Family of Dual-Frequency Dual-Channel Anti-Offset Wireless Power Transfer System

In wireless power transfer (WPT) systems, different topologies, such as series-series (S-S), S-LCC, LCC-S, and LCC-LCC, have different output characteristics, such as constant-current (CC) and constant-voltage (CV) outputs. They can be connected in series or parallel on either the transmitter or receiver sides and on either the AC or DC sides, forming dual-channel topology to achieve misalignment tolerance. The characteristics of all series-parallel CC and CV topologies for dual channels are investigated, including the combination principle and pattern. A dual-frequency dual-channel anti-offset WPT system is proposed on the basis of S-S and LCC-LCC topologies connected in parallel on the DC side. The two channels operate on different frequencies, so the anti-offset performance is enhanced. The unipolar and bipolar coils are employed as the power coils for these two channels so that decoupling is realized. An experimental prototype is established, which proves the feasibility of the scheme. The peak efficiency is 91.8% and the misalignment tolerance is 53.3%.
