Interdisciplinary Large Unit Theme Design in Information Technology Based on UbD Theory

With the advancement of education reform, interdisciplinary thematic learning has gradually become an important way to cultivate students' core literacy. Based on the theory of UbD (Understanding by Design), this study designed an interdisciplinary large-unit teaching program for upper elementary school students based on the core content of the information technology course Process and Control, integrating the subject knowledge of Physics and Mathematics, with the aim of cultivating students' system thinking, programming ability, interdisciplinary thinking and technological ethics awareness. The experimental results show that there is no significant difference in students' core literacy in terms of gender, and more than half of the students (61.54%) have effectively improved their core literacy, which proves the effectiveness of interdisciplinary teaching of IT based on the UbD theory, and provides a new practical path for the interdisciplinary learning of IT courses.
