Flexible Arc Suppression Method for Distribution Networks Considering Parameter Asymmetry and Line Impedance

Traditional flexible arc suppression methods do not account for three-phase parameter asymmetry or the influence of line impedance, resulting in incomplete arc suppression. Existing flexible arc suppression methods that consider line impedance are complex. Therefore, this paper proposes a flexible arc suppression method that considers parameter asymmetry and line impedance, featuring a simple control process and good control performance. By analyzing the impact of line impedance on traditional flexible arc suppression, the neutral point displacement voltage after traditional flexible arc suppression is corrected and indirectly equivalent to the line voltage drop from the busbar to the fault point, thereby offsetting the impact of line impedance on arc suppression performance. Then, a flexible arc suppression method with secondary injection current is proposed. Simulation findings indicate that the proposed strategy demonstrates good applicability for different fault locations and transition resistances.
