Shoreline and Offshore Tide Monitoring Based on Existing Subsea Cable and Intensity-Based φ-OTDR

Tide monitoring is crucial for coastal management and protection. We demonstrate shoreline tide monitoring and distributed offshore tide pattern observation using existing subsea cable and intensity-based φ-OTDR, showing great potential for large-scale offshore tide monitoring. © 2025 The Author(s)
