Joint Power and Time Allocation for a Relay-Assisted Covert Communication System

As a key technology of wireless communication security, covert communication has important application value in the field of privacy protection. But the traditional half-duplex relay system is limited by fixed time slot allocation or independent power constraints, and it is difficult to achieve an effective balance between concealment and transmission efficiency. In this paper, a dynamic joint power and time slot allocation strategy is proposed for two-hop half-duplex relay covert communication scenarios. By constructing a covert communication model and combining the hypothesis test theory to derive covert constraints, the joint optimization problem is decomposed into a sub-problem of transmitter and relay, and the dynamic allocation of resources is realized based on a phased local optimization strategy. Simulation results show that compared with the traditional allocation method, the proposed strategy can effectively improve the transmission efficiency when the resources are limited.
